To start cruising on your own boat and have a successful voyage it is
important to realize what challenges lay ahead, how to prepare yourselves the
best to face those and last but no least, decide if the whole adventure fit
your personality and is worth all the troubles! Our cruising seminars will help you answer all those questions. Charter a boat out of a rental cruising fleet is not going to
give you a taste of the ‘real’ cruising life. Those boats are designed
to carry a maximum of passengers for short vacations. Your boat is
going to be your new home, not a rental condo! Go on a cruise with cruising friends may not be the best way to learn
either as they may not have the teaching skills or patience required. They
may pamper you as charter guests instead of teaching you … they may not show
you the reality of cruising and may minimize the challenges that lay ahead. Real cruising is not that difficult and with the right attitude
and a clear idea of what you want to do versus real cruising life,
it is easy to learn the necessary skills and to enjoy years of cruising
lifestyle. There are many ways to cruise: some cover a lot of nautical
miles and enjoy long and frequent high sea passages, some spend a
lot of time at anchor and explore uncrowded places, some sail from
one big city to a big marina, some cruise 6 months out of each year
and spend the rest at home with family, … But all those types of cruising
plans repose on the same basic fundamentals of boat space and maintenance,
sail & power propulsion, cooking and comforts, budget and safe
places to leave the boat. We are happy to share our 20 years of experiences and to share
a week of real cruising with you! Whether you gain confidence in starting
your own cruising adventure or you choose an alternative travel method,
you won’t regret your time with us in beautiful islands! Because swimming
in turquoise water and sipping great cocktails at magic sunsets will
be part of the cruise too (even if they are not the only parts) Luc & Jackie
